Nominations Close For Byelections

Nominations have closed for the upcoming municipal byelections on Dec. 10.

Residents in 17 municipalities will head to the polls, including Sussex Corner, St. George and Saint Andrews.

Two names are on the ballot in Sussex Corner for a vacant council seat — Gil Stackhouse and Paul Taylor.

In St. George, Gil Breau and Jenna Murray have put their names forward to fill a vacant council seat.

And in Saint Andrews, four people are running for one council seat — Catherine Akagi, Charles Creaser, Pat Munn and Brian Usher.

Meanwhile, Sussex Corner has a new deputy mayor after Steven Stackhouse was the only person to put his name forward.
