Nordia Expects To Retain Saint John Sykes Workers

There will be no layoffs at the Saint John branch of Sykes when the operation is sold to customer-service solutions company Nordia at the end of October.

That’s according to Nordia spokesperson Phillip Van Leeuwen who tells us they expect to retain the Saint John team and the reason they’re entering into this deal is to hire the expertise that the employees already have. He says they are a 100-percent owned subsidiary of Bell and the workers there already serve Bell customers.

This will be their second location in New Brunswick. Nordia acquired a call centre in Moncton from Sitel at the beginning of August.
