North End Fire Displaces 7 People

Seven people have been forced from their homes after a fire in Saint John’s north end.

Emergency crews were called to a duplex on Coronation Court early Wednesday afternoon.

The Canadian Red Cross says the fire damaged one side of the duplex and caused smoke damage to the other unit.

Volunteers have arranged emergency lodging and other help for three adults from one household and three adults plus a child from the other.

No injuries have been reported.
