Norton Advocates Pro Business Stance

Now that outgoing Mayor Mel Norton is running for the leadership of the provincial Conservative party, he’s being pressed about the issue that’s top of mind for most people in the province and that is the economy.

Norton says his message to the rest of the country would be New Brunswick is open for business and all resource development although he concedes the window may have closed on shale gas because of current market conditions.

On the issue of separate school buses for french and english speaking students, Norton calls it a failure of leadership for the provincial government to allow the courts to decide.
