Now is the time to be looking at winterizing your vehicle before the first major snowfall of the season. Hank the Mechanic on Rothesay Avenue has some tips for making sure your car is ready for the cold and snowy weather. First off, get good winter tires installed and if you want that extra traction have them studded, but that is not all. Hank says you should have all of the vehicles fluids flushed and replaced so they are nice and clean for the winter. He says also make sure you switch over your wiper blades to winter blades and have good weather mats in your car to avoid having too much condensation. As for salt build up on your car, He says simply make sure you keep it washed and to avoid your gas line freezing, keep your gas tank at least half full.
