Encouraging the green instincts of kids is the motivation of a new program bringing together Grade 3 and 4 students in a new program promoting energy efficiency.
The program has the City of Saint John, Saint John Energy working with the school district to roll out curriculum at Princess Elizabeth school.
The Energy Manager for the City of Saint John, Samir Yammine, says it’s a pilot program and they want kids to be environmental superheros and lead the behaviour change at home.
The program was designed by DreamRider productions and is called the Planet Protector Academy.
The cost will be shared by the City and Saint John Energy.
