Gail Patricia Foster

February 3, 1953 ~ December 11, 2025 (age 72)

It is with great sadness that the family of Gail Patricia Foster announces her passing on Thursday, December 11, 2025. She was born in Saint John, NB and was the daughter to Pearl (Blair) Dorey and father Charles Dorey.

Gail was surrounded by her family and friends as she was called home. Her loss will also be deeply felt by her sons Richard (Tammy) Hunter and Jason (Melanie) Hunter, her daughter Vicki Ryan and son in law Randy Ryan. She will also be missed by her brother Joe Dorey and Chris (Frances) Cormier and by her sisters Sue LaRue, Sheila (Brian) Chisholm, Cathy Felker and Tina (Sandy) Ellis. As well as her grandchildren Brandon (Chelsea) Hunter, Courtney (Zachary) Williams, Stephanie (Matt) McKay, Kyle (Becky) Hunter, Dylan McLaughin, Jasmine (Trevor) Lambert, Joe (Karissa) Lambert, Jocelyn (Jim) Smith, Madelynn (Brandon) Ryan, Randy (Hayley) Ryan, Sydney Ryan, Ricky Ryan. And great grandchildren, Chandler, Parker, Savannah, Harper, Shaelee, Adlee, McKenna, Jordyn, Jemma, Paisley, Emerson, Wyatt, Charlie, Logan & Lucas.

Gail will fondly be remembered by her special aunts Frances Buote and Doreen (Tootsie) Blair. She will also be missed by her friends Bonnie, Janice, Donna, and Linda. Gail is predeceased by her parents Pearl and Charles Dorey, her husband Burton Foster and Rick Hunter, her brothers Donnie, Chuck and Tony, her sister in-law Cheryl Dorey, her good friend Norman Brien.

Gail worked for the Telegraph Journal, Centracare, and then retired from Saint John Saint Stephen Nursing Home. Gail loved to knit and spend her days with her family and friends laughing and loving life.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 12-2 PM followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel on Wednesday December 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Interment will be held at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
