It is with great sadness the family of Joseph Martin Hurley announces his passing which occurred on December 12, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a very long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Iona (Pugh) Hurley. A very hard worker at home and at work. He was a labourer who worked at Point Lepreau and then the Refinery for over 45 years. Joe was a devoted Catholic to the St. Marks Catholic Church for over 30 years.  He loved cooking, serving breakfast and dinners for everyone. Joe was always willing to give his family and friends a helping hand when needed. He loved to go for walks, drive over to the Villa to listen to the music when they brought bands in and go to dances. Travel was his all-time dream, and he was able to get a few good trips in, they were the highlight of his last few years. Joe was a member of the Buffalo Club for many years which he enjoyed very much in his younger years.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB. In keeping with Joseph’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.  A family gathering will be held in NFLD later in the year.
