Off-Road Vehicle Campaign In Saint John

Another education and enforcement campaign for the Saint John Police Force this weekend.

They are teaming up with the Department of Justice and Public Safety to focus on off-road vehicles.

Officers will promote safe riding habits, proper clothing and protective gear, and mechanically safe vehicles.

The police force pointed to Statistics Canada figures from 2013 to 2019 which showed alcohol and drug use was reported in half of ATV driver fatalities, and not safely wearing a helmet was reported in one-third of ATV fatalities.
