Olands Release Another Statement On Richard Oland Murder

The New Brunswick Police Commission is being urged by Lisa and Connie Oland to make public the findings of its review of how City Police handled the Richard Oland murder investigation.

The suggestion has been made that the review might not be made public under provisions of the Police Act.

The Olands, in a statement released by lawyer Bill Teed, say this would be unacceptable and would further erode the community’s trust and confidence. The two also maintain the killer of Richard Oland is still at large with the claim the system failed them.

Dennis Oland was found guilty last month of second degree murder in his father’s death. He’ll be sentenced on February 11th.
