An ATV driver suffering some broken bones leaving the Old Rothesay Road by the Brookville quarry and winding up in a boggy area after careening through the trees. Police say alcohol was not a factor.
Several charges laid after a man and woman were arrested following a short pursuit on the west side. The chase began after a vehicle check and ended on Manawagonish Road and Church Avenue. The two tried to run away and now the man is facing charges of fleeing police, obstruction, dangerous driving and possession of a prohibited weapon.
A foot chase in the area of Cobourg Street resulted in a man who was wanted being arrested. He’s facing additional charges of resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. There was the arrest of another man wanted on several warrants on Peter Street. He’s being held for the RCMP.
