Ongoing Investigation Near Little River Reservoir

Saint John police have closed a popular park on the city’s east side as part of an ongoing investigation.

Police have blocked the entrance to Little River Reservoir Park on Loch Lomond Road.

The force first posted about the incident on Twitter shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday, saying there is an “ongoing police investigation” in the area of Little Lake Reservoir.

When reached by email, spokesperson Jim Hennessy declined to provide further comment on the investigation.

One police car is blocking the entrance to the parking lot and there is at least one other police vehicle further in the parking lot. There is also a trailer with “Saint John Emergency Measures Command Post” on the side of it.
