Ongoing Negotiations To End University Strike

Negotiations continue between Mount Allison University and its faculty association to end a strike.

A provincially-appointed mediator was part of the talks on Wednesday.

According to the Mount A website, the University’s bargaining team reportedly proposed a number of options to the faculty association in an effort to reach a new collective agreement.

The association is said to be considering those options.

The two parties were scheduled to meet again Thursday morning at 10:30.

Classes have been cancelled amid the strike which began Monday.

Among the contentious issues are academic resources and workload along with part-time job security and compensation.
