The Greater Saint John Field House and the YMCA have signed an operating agreement for five years which will see the Y run the east side facility.
The President of the Field House Bill MacMackin says it makes perfect sense for the Y to run the new facility once it opens next Fall.

“They are going to have the opportunity to help us make it successful and we’ll have the opportunity to use a lot of their expertise and leadership to make sure the place runs well,” says MacMackin.
The Y president and CEO Shilo Boucher says ” This is really going to elevate health and fitness here in our community”.
The Greater Saint John Field House is 124 thousand square feet and costs $26 million dollars.
