The OPP say they have arrested a 39 year old man in connection to a fatal shooting in the Ottawa area.
The suspect, has been charged with the first degree murder of Sergeant Eric Mueller and the attempted murder of two other OPP officers.
The incident took place around 2:00 Thursday morning in Bourget after someone reported hearing a gunshot.
Three officers responded and suffered gunshot wounds.
Sergeant Mueller was transported hospital where he died of his injuries.
One police officer was treated and released, while the other is still in hospital in stable condition.
