Over $6 Million To Fix Up The City Market in Saint John

The cash keeps flowing in New Brunswick from all levels of government.

On the heels of a massive funding announcement yesterday in Moncton, Premier Brian Gallant, Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long and Saint John Mayor Don Darling all on hand to announce over $6 million dollars to refurbish the City Market in Saint John.

Mayor Darling tells us he is giddy and thrilled to know this work will be done.

He says its the most iconic gathering place and one of Saint John’s biggest tourist attractions.

Wayne Long says the market was built in 1876 and it’s one the national historic treasures the city has.
