A portion of Route 1 westbound just outside of Saint John will be closed overnight on Friday night.
Gateway Operations said the closure will take place in the area of the Fox Farm Road overpass at Exit 133.
Traffic heading into the city will be detoured to the westbound off-ramp and take the on-ramp back onto the highway.
A single lane closure with multiple speed reductions will begin near kilometre marker 137 westbound.
Meanwhile, traffic heading eastbound away from the city will see a single lane closure approaching the overpass.
Work will begin at 6 p.m. Friday and will wrap up by noon on Saturday, according to Gateway Operations.
