P-M Vows Not To Stifle Investment With Tax Changes

Prime Minister Trudeau says his government is looking at how to make the tax system fairer without stifling investment.

Trudeau says the message from so-called angel investors about how risky startups need investment has been received loud and clear.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation, meantime, claims people who make more than $100 thousand account for just 8.4 per cent of taxpayers but pay 52 per cent of the total tax bill. This same study also maintains the top one per cent of tax filers pay more than 21 per cent of all personal income taxes.
