Parents In Charlotte County Nervous About High School Reconfiguration

The reconfiguration of Fundy High to include middle school students as young as ten years of age has some parents feeling a bit nervous. They’re not happy at the prospect of children as young as 10 mingling with older high school students who might be of adult age.

Marie-Claude Folmer, who chairs the Parent School Support Committee at Pennfield Elementary School, says they don’t mind their kids being in the same building as the older students provided there are some guarantees. They want the middle school students to have separate entrances and be in different sections of the school.

One parent points out there is no recess at Fundy High and younger students need time to play.
