Parking Ban Declared Uptown

If you live uptown, prepare to move your vehicle tonight.

The City of Saint John has declared a temporary overnight parking ban for the South/Central Peninsula beginning at 11 p.m. Wednesday evening until Thursday morning at 7 a.m.

In a ban, on-street parking is not allowed anywhere in the South/Central Peninsula area.

Vehicles left on the street after 11 p.m, when a ban has been declared will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s risk and expense.

The ban has been declared for this evening to allow for an aggressive pushback of snow to the curb with another weather system expected to bring 15-20 centimetres of snow over the weekend.

Five lots are cleared for use by on-street parkers beginning at 6 p.m. when a ban is declared.

· Corner of Duke and Sydney Street
· Peters Street
· Carmarthen Street (Vineyard Church)
· Sydney Street (Service New Brunswick)
· Vulcan Street

You must leave these lots by 7 a.m. the following morning.
