Mounties are reminding drivers about the importance of properly de-icing and removing snow before hitting the road.

A vehicle was struck by a large piece of ice from an oncoming vehicle in southeastern New Brunswick this week.

The incident happened on Wednesday along Route 15 in Woodside, near Port Elgin, according to the RCMP.

A photo shared to social media by the police force showed a vehicle with a shattered windshield.
