PEI Woman Charged With Impaired Driving On Confederation Bridge

A PEI woman is facing impaired driving charges after an incident Thursday on the Confederation Bridge.

East Prince RCMP report around 6 in the evening, a vehicle heading towards the Island was reported for erratic driving.

Witnesses said at one point the vehicle hit the Bridge and continued on.

A 34-year old female from Dundas, PEI was arrested in Borden-Carleton after providing breath samples three times the legal limit.

The woman was also charged with exposing a child under ten and endangering her life.

The East Prince RCMP would like to thank the responsible member of the public for taking the time to call 9-1-1 to report this occurrence, potentially saving lives and definitely removing an impaired driver from Island roads.

RCMP also ask that all members of the public to call 9-1-1 to report erratic or suspected impaired driving.
