Peninsula Princess Ferry Service Ends At Midnight

Those who cross the Kennebecasis River between Summerville and Millidgeville will have to find another way to do so starting Friday.

The Peninsula Princess ferry closes for the season at midnight on Dec. 31, according to the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.

“This is necessary to continue to maintain and preserve the provincial government’s ferry fleet,” the department said in a news release.

Officials announced last week that the ferry will travel upriver to Evandale to have new ramps installed.
