We’re being told not to go too far in debt and save more money but people in Atlantic Canada seem to be in a bit of a pickle when it comes to that.
Nearly half of people give themselves a grade of “C” when it comes to saving money this year but in Atlantic Canada, 33 per cent of people surveyed admit they haven’t saved anything compared to the average of 21 per cent.
Atlantic Canadians are also the least likely to have a specific financial goal for the year. For those people who have a goal in mind, 41 per cent of people in this region are focused on paying down or paying off the balance on their credit cards along with other loans they might have.
