People’s Alliance Visits Miramichi Offering Support For Addictions Centre

The leader of the People’s Alliance is offering his support for an addictions centre for Miramichi.

Kris Austin visited the community Tuesday. He says addictions impact everyone.

“We either know someone or are directly related to someone that faces the struggle of addictions at some point in our life. Maybe some of us have faced addictions,” Austin says.

The People’s Alliance says Miramichi has been experiencing high levels of addiction and related crime, and Harvest House is looking for a place to set up their addiction treatment program in the area, similar to one they have in Moncton and other areas of the province.

Austin says, “We will continue to work diligently, and we are absolutely, 100 per cent committed to ensure Harvest House is a place here in the Miramichi that can see lives change.”
