Perth-Andover Crash Sends Pickup Truck Into St. John River

A man was taken to hospital after a crash that sent a pickup truck into the St. John River in Perth-Andover.

Emergency crews responded around 8:20am on Wednesday to West Riverside Drive in the town.

The 37-year-old driver from the Kintore area managed to get out of the truck and people nearby helped get him to shore. His injuries are described as non-life threatening.

A dog that was in the truck is missing and thought to have died.

Investigators with the RCMP have not yet been able to recover the truck from the river.
