Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre talks Nova Scotia in Friday interview

The leader of the federal opposition party is visiting Nova Scotia today.

Pierre Poilievre stopped in Trenton, near New Glasgow, where he visited a manufacturing facility.

And this afternoon he visited the Oland Brewery in Halifax.

The Conservative Party leader has been very vocal about his issues with the current government, especially their climate change policies, like the carbon tax.

Our newsroom spoke with Poilievre at the brewery.

Check out the full interview below by Acadia Broadcasting reporter Jacob Moore. he spoke about the Energy East pipeline project, which would have brought oil to the Saint John refinery. He also touches on exports from Nova Scotia, the carbon tax—perhaps his biggest talking point as he tours and hosts rallies across the country—and he explained how he would enable the green energy sector by lowering taxes. At the end, he explains what he would do in his first few months in office, if he becomes the next Prime Minister.

Our newsroom will have a more in-depth analysis of his comments next week.
