A planned power outage will impact thousands of people in the Grand Bay-Westfield area this weekend.
In a news release, the town said the planned outage by NB Power will take place between 5 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday.
The outage will affect just over 4,000 homes and businesses in Grand Bay-Westfield and several surrounding communities.
They include Browns Flat, Central Greenwich, Clarendon, Evandale, Glenwood, Lower Greenwich, Morrisdale, Oak Point, Public Landing, Nerepis, Welsford and Woodmans Point.
According to the release, the outage is required to update facilities.
