Planned Water Shutoff In East Saint John

Some homes and businesses in east Saint John will be without water for a couple of days this week.

Saint John Water says there will be a planned water shutoff from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday to conduct improvements to the water distribution system.

The affected area includes:

  • Westmorland Road (from 557 to 744);
  • Skyline Drive (from 2 to 40);
  • Harmony Drive (from 3 to 63);
  • Golden Grove Road (from 140 to 245);
  • John T. McMillan Avenue (from 1 to 60);
  • Upland Road (from 7 to 15);
  • Reading Crescent (from 1 to 23);
  • Roxbury Drive (from 10 to 22);
  • Longview Court (from 1 to 36);
  • Coldbrook Crescent (from 45 to 405);
  • Mystery Lake Drive (from 120 to 155); and
  • Essex Street East (from 1 to 10).

Officials say they anticipate a boil water order will be put in place for the affected area on Monday and could remain in effect for the rest of the week.

The city also reminds restaurants they are not allowed to operate while water service is shut off.
