Plebiscite to be held on forming a Rural Community outside of Fredericton in York County

A vote will be held on October 23rd for residents of three LSDs or Local Service Districts, and two partial LSDs in York County near Fredericton for a plebiscite on community restructuring.

People who reside in Keswick Ridge, Douglas and Bright and a portion of those in Kingsclear and Queensbury will be voting on forming a new rural community.

The York project woud bring together close to 9,000 people and create a rural community with a tax base of $650 million.

Advance polls will be held on Saturday, October 14th from 10 a.m to 8 p.m and the regular polls with be held the same times on October 23rd.

The voter cards will be arriving in the mail for the residents during the week of October 8th.
