PM Admits Canadian Soldiers Have Been Shortchanged

Prime Minister Trudeau has conceded Canadian troops have been underfunded for the last ten years, if not longer. He says that’s going to be the focus of the government’s defense review.

As for criticism from President Donald Trump that some of the countries in NATO are not paying their fair share, Trudeau says Canada has always been a go to nation, pointing to the support given to the Peshmerga in Iraq as local troops advance towards Mosul and says that will continue.

Trudeau wouldn’t answer directly when asked if he has any concerns about sharing intelligence with President Trump.
