Tomorrow is the day, Donald Trump will officially become the 45th President of the United States.
Political Science Professor at UPEI Don Desserud says it will be a day that many people are watching very closely, “I’m going to be watching very carefully what the crowd looks like, and what their reaction is and whether the protests that have been promised go ahead as planned. My instinct is it is going to be a bit of a dud, and it won’t be a very exciting inauguration.”
Many Canadians have planned a trip to Washington to take part in those protests.
Desserud says the inauguration is usually a day of anticipated change, “These are times for a new regime, but also a whole new way of thinking, but I think there is anticipated change here, but I think there is a lot of dread as well.”
Getting ready to leave for Washington, D.C. The journey begins and I will be working and fighting very hard to make it a great journey for..
