Residents of Saint John’s lower west side saw a heavy police presence outside a home on Ludlow Street West on Sunday.
Police say they received a report of a suspect with a weapon and responded to the scene around 2 a.m.
A release from the force said the Emergency Tactical Services Unit entered the home following “hours of negotiations.”
A 50-year-old man was taken into custody just before 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
The release says there were no injuries as a result of the incident and no charges have been released.
