Saint John police clarifying the rules surrounding motorized bicycles.
The traffic division of the Saint John Police Force wants the public to know operators require a class of licence, insurance and registration.
Motor-driven cycles requires a class 9 or class 6 driver’s licence.
In order to register a motor-driven cycle, the vehicle must have a label indicating it’s roadworthy.
Those who don’t follow the rules of the road may see charges laid and find the vehicle seized.
