Police Investigate Armed Robbery, Home Invasion

The Saint John Police Force is investigating a pair of incidents which sent three people to hospital.

Police told our newsroom a convenience store on St. James Street in the uptown was robbed shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday.

They said the suspect had a weapon but would not provide any other details.

The store clerk was taken to hospital with injuries but was later released, police said.

Early Sunday evening, officers were called to Sherbrooke Street on the west side of the city for a home invasion.

Police said two people were taken to hospital; one was later released while the other was held for observation.

No arrests have been made in either incident and police have not said if anything was taken.
