The RCMP is investigating after thieves unsuccessfully tried to steal a safe by cutting through the floor of the temporary Foodland grocery store in Minto.
Police say it was around 4:30am on Sunday they were called to the store on Main Street. No items were taken from the store, which went up following a fire back in June which destroyed the Foodland — the town’s only grocery store.
RCMP are looking for the public’s help in the investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
