Police investigating two alleged assaults, asking for public’s help

Saint John Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects connected to separate alleged assaults.

Police say the first incident happened on April 12 around 9:40 p.m. in a restaurant parking lot on Lansdowne Avenue.

A parked vehicle was allegedly damaged, and when the owner confronted the suspects, police say he was assaulted.

About an hour later, near Main Street North, another person waiting at a bus stop was also reportedly assaulted.

Authorities say the suspects reportedly pulled their hoods up and demanded money and personal belongings before the victim fled.

Investigators have not been able to identify the suspects and are asking for the public’s help.

Anyone with dash-cam footage, video surveillance, or information is asked to contact Saint John Police at 506-648-3333.

Tips can also be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
