A building fire on Pitt Street early Thursday morning is being treated as suspicious by police.
Officers arrived on scene just before 4 am where they found the back deck on fire.
The flames were quickly knocked down by fire crews and no one is injured.
The Major Crime Unit and the Saint John Fire Department are working to determine the cause of the fire.
