The Police Department’s Major Crime Unit would like speak to anyone who may have witnessed that two vehicle collision over the weekend that killed a 60 year old taxi driver who has been identified as Wendell Wormell.
The cab and an S-U-V collided on Somerset Street near St. Pius church. Road conditions were described as not good at the time of the crash.
Major Crime would like to speak specifically to anyone who was driving from the direction of Churchill Boulevard up Somerset Street towards the centre of the city just before 10:00 on Saturday night.
The passenger in the cab, a 37-year-old woman and the 19 year old driver of the S-U-V both were hospitalised with serious injuries.
