Police make 2 arrests in armed robbery

Two people have been arrested after an armed robbery at an east Saint John convenience store.

Police say a man entered a store in the 1500 block of Loch Lomond Road around 9:40 p.m. on Jan. 4.

Armed with a weapon, he allegedly demanded money before fleeing the store with some cash.

A 48-year-old woman was arrested for robbery on Jan. 18. She was later released on an undertaking to appear in court on April 8.

A 41-year-old man was arrested five days later and held in custody. He appeared in court on Thursday charged with robbery and disguise with intent.

The man was released from custody and is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 22.
