UPDATE: St. Stephen Man’s Death Was A Homicide

Mounties say they are now treating the suspicious death of a man in St. Stephen as a homicide.

Officers were called to a Ross Avenue home just before 3 a.m. Tuesday for a report of an unresponsive man.

RCMP Cpl. Jullie Rogers-Marsh said officers found the body of a 25-year-old man when they arrived at the scene.

Police say an autopsy has been completed and the man’s death has been determined to have been a homicide.

“This certainly is a very serious … and we’re working diligently to try to determine who was involved, but we do believe it was an isolated incident,” said Rogers-Marsh in a phone interview.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area between midnight and 4 a.m. Tuesday is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
