Police have pulled a male body from the water near the Saint John boardwalk.
A call came in to city police just before 3 p.m. Friday afternoon after witnesses reported seeing a body floating in the cove area.
Police said they did not initially believe the situation was suspicious.
Residents were asked to avoid the boardwalk and Smythe Street area around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon. They have since cleared the area.
