Saint John police are looking for an inmate who allegedly cut off his ankle monitoring bracelet while on temporary release.

Ryan Webb was given a temporary absence from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre on Black River Road on Oct. 7.

Police say Webb’s ankle monitoring bracelet was found in the city’s south end the next afternoon.

The 33-year-old is serving a 60-day sentence for several failure to attend court appearances.

Webb is described as 5’9″ tall, weighing 205 pounds, with brush cut-style black hair.

Anyone who knows where Webb might be is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force at 506-648-3333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
