Police Take Precautions Amid COVID-19

The Saint John Police Force is taking steps to keep their officers and the public safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, Chief Stephan Drolet says all services are still in place but may be delivered a bit differently.

Drolet said the police station is fully stocked with products needed to ensure top hygiene for employees.

“In the coming days and/or weeks, if you happen to see an officer wearing protective wear, such as a mask or gloves, do not be alarmed. This is to ensure we stay healthy and can continue to serve you and the community,” said Drolet.

Drolet said a contingency plan is in place in the event our officers need to take time away from their duties.

The front doors of the police station will be closed to the public effective Monday, March 23, but the front desk will continue to have someone working.

Anyone with an inquiry is asked to call 506-648-3200.
