Poll Released On Senate

With the Mike Duffy trial starting in Ottawa, a new Angus Reid poll has found 67 per cent of respondents support direct elections to the Senate.
Since 2009, at least two thirds of us have consistently supported the idea of direct Senate elections.

In addition, 66 per cent of respondents would like to limit senators, who are appointed, to eight year terms.

74 per cent would like to have a referendum on the future of the Senate and 36 per cent support abolition.
