What was rain today should switch to snow tonight.
For the Saint John area, we are looking up to 14 centimetres of snow by early Tuesday afternoon.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Jill Mapea tells us it should be snow-only tonight and windy.
“Wind speeds will pick up tonight and into tomorrow. We are expecting to see 40 to 60 kilometre an hour northwesterly winds in the Saint John area.” Mapea said.
We can blame this weather on a system moving from the Cape Cod area across Cape Breton and according to Mapea, it should be hitting Newfoundland and Labrador on Wednesday.
A slushy mess on King Street right now. One pedestrian tells us she found it icy. Be careful today and tonight. #NBStorm pic.twitter.com/2whe5rQV5R
