Postal Workers Consider Contract Extension

A two-year extension is being offered to postal workers in Canada.

Canada Post presented the offer in early June because of the ongoing pandemic.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says it includes a two per cent wage increase each year, new hourly wages for rural and suburban carriers and a promise to implement a new financial services pilot this year.

Members will begin voting on the deal in August.

The union is recommending they accept it.
