Electricity was restored at 8:10 last night to the last of 77 hundred customers affected by the afternoon outage in the uptown which began shortly after 4:00.
Saint John Energy says the outage was caused by a loss of supply from NB Power to the Union and Crown Street substations.
The fire department was called after some people were stuck in elevators in the uptown when the power went out.
