Power Outages, Accidents and Slippery Roads From Bomb Cyclone

The big bomb cyclone is on its way out of the Maritimes and now all of that snow and rain that fell is going to freeze as the temperature drops well below the freezing mark today.

Roads are very slippery in and around the city today with icy conditions reported.

Saint John Police had a number of minor fender benders to deal with last night but no injuries were reported, sidewalks, streets and parking lots will be sheets of ice today, so be careful.

KV Regional Police are also reporting very slippery conditions this morning, there were no accidents.

Environment Canada says Saint John only saw 4 cm of snow and then 18 mm of rain. NB Power is dealing with 110 outages this morning affecting close to 14,000 people.

Crews were unable to tackle outages yesterday due to the very high winds.

Storm surges were also a major concern for coastal areas with the arrival of high tide and the winds.
