A challenging hour or so for thousands of residents in Charlotte county following a major power outage impacting St. Stephen, Saint Andrews, Pennfield, Deer Island and many more communities.
The lights went out just after 10:00 a.m. and at first, the outage was impacting more 21,000 NB Power customers.
We are aware of an outage in the Fundy Isles area affecting roughly 18000 customers. We thank you for your patience as our crews investigate the cause.

It was dark on the other side of the border as well with reports of outages in Calais, Maine and other communities.
Power was restored around 11:00 a.m.
